Custom Bodices

We make custom bodices for ballet in a variety of styles, a wide range of sizes, with diffrent neckline options and out of many different fabrics.

Our most popular styles are:

• Russian style bodice which has a long line that extends to the high hip

• English style which ends a little bit below the natural waist

• Peasant style which often has a chemise or sleeves, and a matching inset for a faux corset look

Common fabric choices include brocades, jacquards, velvet, taffeta, princess satin, and bengaline.

The closures on our bodices are steel hooks and bars, which are easy to use for quick changes, and are strong, ensuring that they stay closed when the dancer is performing.  These bodices can have optional spiral steel boning along some of the front seams or panels for added support.

Bodices can be made to match the tutu or skirt that you are ordering, or if you need a bodice to match a costume that you already have, we can work with you to create one.
