Custom Orders

Once we receive both the deposit payment and measurements requested, your order will be put on the schedule. Delays in getting us this information will likely result in changes in our earliest ship date. The time we spend discussing the design of the costume is not counted as part of the time it takes to make the order. If you take weeks to think about the order, get the measurements, and make payment, we will have taken on orders of clients ready to reserve a space on our schedule, and there is the possibility that the time originally anticipated to complete your order will have changed. 

If you wish to cancel your custom order, the deposit is non-refundable, as we have to purchase fabrics, trims, notions, and dye and cut the fabrics. 

Custom orders are not returnable and non refundable. The order will be made to the measurements you provide. We make the costume to fit as closely as possible to the measurements you send, due to the fact we don’t often have the opportunity for in person fittings. 

Similar to formal wear, it may be likely that the costume will need small alterations to accommodate the fit preferences of the dancer once it arrives. Even accurate measurements can be a little off due to changes in water weight, where the dancer is in their monthly cycle, changes in weight due to amount of time in class and rehearsal, etc. These minor changes can often be made by a local seamstress or your company’s/school’s wardrobe crew. In the event you feel these alterations are too complicated, we are happy to help if it fits into our schedule, however you will need to pay shipping fees and alterations fees. 

Rentals

In the event you need to cancel your rental reservation, we can offer a 50% refund, minus a 3% restocking fee. 

It is expected that rentals will need small, hand sewn alterations to accommodate the fit preferences of different dancers once the costume arrives. If the rental will not fit with the expected alterations due to errors in the measurements you provided, you are not eligible for a refund.  

Rush rentals: Rentals that are reserved (both signed contract and payment received) within 7 days of their ship date, will incur a $40 rush fee. Rentals that are reserved with less than 48 hours of their ship date will incur a $80 rush fee. 

Payment Methods

Our Shopify store accepts credit and debit card payments via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover card, as well as digital wallets such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We do not accept cash, business checks, personal checks, or money orders. 

Returns and Refunds

Custom orders and items made to order are not returnable and non-refundable. 

Rentals are non-refundable once shipped. 

Ready to wear costumes are not returnable and are non-refundable. It is expected that you fully read the information about these items and their measurements. If you have questions about the costume, please contact us prior to purchasing. 

Pull on skirts and children’s tutus may be exchanged for a different size if you contact us within 10 days of receiving the item, provided they are in restockable condition and the item is available in a different size. You will incur shipping charges on both the return and the replacement item. 

Exchanges

For pull on skirts and children’s tutus, you can exchange for a different size within 10 days of receiving the item if it doesn’t fit. However, you will have to pay shipping for both the return and the replacement item.  All exchanges must be in a restockable condition (no damages, no alterations, not soiled or stained, not worn)

Customs Info for International Orders

Our shipping rates do not include customs charges that may be required by your country’s regulations. Delivery may be delayed in customs.
